sources 1,2,3,4 & 5 all found on weheartit although if you look closely at 1. it has Claire Penn photography waterstamped across it… check her out she is very talented! 6&7 are both Bleubird Vintage finds… how much do I want those boots? They are absolutely gorgeous! 8 is a CommonThreadz tee… they are only $38 each, are made in print runs of 250 & for every tee bought a school uniform is given to a child in need. Check them out! What is your favourite colour? PS. We had another tidying spree today & now Mr J has his own little office (in the teeny corner between the guest loo & the utility wall) which he is very happy with because the sun no longer shines on his computer screen! Now the bookcase is in the living room… I need another one I have soooo many books! PPS. Why is it that the minute I have to leave the house to go to work the sky turns an ominous shade of grey…??!

(Not Quite Really) Sunday Sweetness

So this weeks Sunday Sweetness is 24 hrs late (again!) but that’s because I’ve been in sunny Norfolk over the weekend visiting my mum & last night spent a couple of hours helping her get her blog set up instead of working on my own! It was a lovely couple of days with the sun shining (although it was cold!), my mums puppies running around creating mayhem, a shopping trip, a DIY attempt, & our favourite pasttime, CRAFTING!!!! Mum is a huge papercrafter, she makes beautiful cards & ATC’s as well as creating beautiful Punchcraft embroideries & being a talented florist. She has her own craft room (I’m not jealous, no, no, no!) & it is full to the brim with papers, paints, colours, ribbons, brads, glitter, glue, cardstock, sequins… it’s like Crafting Heaven! We also sat & watched some favourite TV: NCIS (her) & Poirot (me!)… it was a good couple of days…. I have pictures to put up of my thrifted finds (Enid Blyton book ‘The Enchanted Forest’, Pineapple dress, Dr Seuss t-shirt, floristry ring, Russian Dolls, yay!) the flower embroidery I did whilst I was there (that mum has kept) & some felt flowers that I’ve made so stay tuned! I enjoyed picking out all those pink pictures last Tuesday (inspired by TrainsandSewingMachines) so I’ve decided to make it a once weekly feature… 1&2 both found on weheartit I love the artwork in pic1 its beautiful… quite dreamy… 3 by Julie West one of my absolute favourite artists… 4 isn’t this lovely? Another weheartit find… 5 is by the Dainty Squid… 6 you probably recognise her work by now, the talented Anarkitty 7&8 both from weheartit… I bet you own at least one pair of Converse?? I know I do! 8 is a beautiful photograph… 9 Kat MacLeod… just love love love her work! (PS. as I am now officially on holiday I just thought I’d share with you that I’m sitting on the sofa in my pink dressing gown eating Lemon cheesecake & reading blogs. AND THAT’S ALL I’M DOING!!!!!)

My Little Secrets #2

1. I’m posting this in my pajamas… I’m supposed to be doing my staff rotas for the next two weeks but I’m having a beer, watching NCIS & blogging!

2. My tearducts don’t work. Strange but true.
3. I’m a born proofreader. I can’t read anything without spotting spelling mistakes. I even read cereal packets.


4. I am a Coca-Cola addict. My waitresses joke that I should go to rehab. I really need to give it up… I dread to think what it could be doing to my insides!
5. I make a mean Spaghetti Bolognese. Minced beef, chopped bacon, Italian tinned tomatoes, crushed fennel seeds, mixed herbs, Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, chilli powder, ginger powder, tomato puree, mushrooms, peppers, onion, garlic & a couple of squares of dark chocolate. Spaghetti al dente… delish!!!
6. When I was 17 I was a vegetarian. At the time there weren’t many vegetables that I liked so I lived on chips. In the end I gave up.
I wish I had long red hair.
I love Mr J & I wish we had more time together. He’s at work tonight. Sunday evening though we’ll be home together & we’ll tuck into a traditional Sunday roast & chill out. He’s so silly & he makes me laugh so much. And he’ll kill me if he see’s these pictures on here! 😉

How cute are Good Night John & Jane? I found them over at Polka Dot Rabbit… No idea where the Polaroid picture came from but isn’t it awesome?? (If anybody knows could you leave me a comment? x)… I just think the girl covered in fur looks so dreamy (& I have that exact bedframe!)… loving the ballerina… both from weheartit… those love heart tights are super awesome! Where do they come from?! Anyone? (Source unknown)… pink bunny ears on red hair… cute.. and scarves and tights… these are a few of my favourite fashion finds… I love the casual indie thrown-together boho look but I also adore the retro put-together 40/50/60’s styles that you find… &
 right now I’m LOVING yellow!
